NAVIGATING THE CORPORATE SPACE
Well hello there dear gist partner.
How are you doing today? It is my hope that you are fine and that you continue to enjoy God-given wisdom.
It’s another Guest Feature Thursday!!!
Our guest for today is someone that I look up to, love and respect so much and I really am honored that she agreed to share her thoughts with us on the blog today. I call her ‘Mrs I’ but officially, her name is Oluwatofunmi P. Inalegwu, Esq.; woman of God, corporate lawyer and legal practitioner extraordinaire! Fun fact, I just finished sending her a long voice note ranting about the very thing she has spoken of today, I finished reading her thoughts and I just said “this one, na for me God send am!”
I know without a doubt that you’ll be blessed, and you’ll learn at least 2 things, so without further ado, welcome to today’s gist.
Let's face it, the corporate world can be a challenging and unpredictable environment. The politics, stereotypes, and fast-paced nature can be overwhelming, and it's easy to get caught up in the hustle and forget what's truly important.
As you navigate this space, remember to take care of yourself, your loved ones, and your spiritual well-being. Don't forget that your worth and identity are rooted in more than just your job title or performance. Take time to nurture your relationship with God and seek guidance from His Word.
You'll encounter people who may try to bring you down or make you feel like you're never doing enough. But don't let them define your story. You are very capable, talented, and have all the potential needed for success. Learn to set boundaries, prioritize a whole lot, and develop essential skills like time management and discernment (Trust me, this one is beyond skills. You need God).
Here are a few things that would help:
1. Be assertive and confident in your abilities.
2. Don't be afraid to ask for help or seek guidance.
3. Prioritize your spiritual, mental, and emotional well-being, and still give your work your best.
4. Surround yourself with good and supportive people.
5. Take feedback seriously and lightly at the same time. 😉
6. Trust in God's plan and timing for your life
Remember, the corporate world is just one season of your life. Don't let it define you or dictate your worth. You are more than your job, and you have so much to offer.
Keep shining your light and stay focused on what's truly important.
Thank you so much Ma’am, for blessing us with your words, we are honoured to have you here and we are blessed by your words.
And thank you so much dear gist partner for staying with me, I know you’ve been blessed and you’ve learned, may God give us the wisdom we need as we navigate the corporate space.
Well, that is that about that as far as that is concerned, see you next week!
Love,
Achenyo.
Thank you, ma'am for blessing us
