... IT DOESN'T EXIST

Welcome to today’s gist.

I was in Church on Sunday and listened to a teaching on Noah and the Ark God instructed him to build. When the teacher got to the point of God bringing the animals in their twos to the Ark, she said something that’s really stayed with me since, she said “it would have been impossible for Noah to get animals like Lions and tigers into the Ark if God hadn’t stepped in”, God Himself directed these animals from wherever they were to the boat. I think of that and I get this visual of Noah leaving the door to the Ark open and various species of animals just strolling in like it was normal –that’s incredibly telling of the awesome power of God! We normally would conclude that lower animals lack the capacity of reasoning and understanding, at least compared to the extent we humans possess, yet they heard God and obeyed Him.

Another thing that is always amazing when I think of the story of Noah is the fact that for 1 year and 10 days, that’s 375 days, predators and preys stayed together in the confinement of the Ark and no animal was eaten, how do I know this? Any animal that was eaten would no longer have been in existence, but let me not digress; it’s the nature of animals like the Wolf, or Fox to hunt down, kill and eat animals like rabbits, goats, deer and the like, even in large forest lands, these ‘prey’ species are not safe. Then there they were, both predator and prey in a confined space for over a year and the predators didn’t touch the prey!

When I think of these two things, I am convinced that there’s nothing that I can go through that is too much for God to handle: for me, yes but for God, absolutely not! Like Judikay sang, what is hard for God to do doesn't exist, e come sweet me say she add "it can never ever exist oh." And that is my encouragement to you this week, and this New Year; no matter how mighty the challenge you are going through, or may go through, is, you can trust in God’s power to handle it on your behalf. If may not seem humanly possible, it may not even make sense to assume that it is possible to overcome that situation but I want you to believe in God and His awesome ability, He’ll bring you out and help you scale through.

I pray we learn to trust God and depend more on Him, this year and onward.
