OUR FIRST YEAR!

 It's our blogversary!!!!!

I remember how I would always worry my best friend's ears about starting my blog. It was a dream I'd had since 2017, in fact I had thought I would have opened the blog before that year ran out but it never did happen. And as time went by, I just kept postponing it, feeling that I really didn't have anything to offer an audience so why start right?

On this day last year, I was in Mangu (no ask me why abeg) when I just decided within myself that I really had to start from somewhere, so right there, while I was supposed to be researching for cases, I opened the blog! I had absolutely no idea how I was going to make it work, I had overly grand ideas that looking back are very laughable. But I started, and here we are –an entire year, and 38 posts, later!!!! 

I've been anticipating today for a while, it's a reminder for me that no matter how clueless I may be, starting is always the key to making it work. 

In the last year, I've given my best, and my worst I should say, to this blog and the family I have on here: there have been days where I really didn't feel like writing, then days I felt like writing but couldn't find the time and of course there are the days I feel so pumped I could write two or three pieces at once! But I'm grateful for each of those days. 

I'm grateful for all the people who have kept me accountable and ensured that I turn up content for this blog, I'm grateful for especially for the two amazing individuals I disturb with "what should I title it?" "Should I post this now?" "Check this paragraph, does it make sense?" "Please check the grammar and typography for me" and all the dozens of other requests I've made and they never complain. 

And I'm grateful to you who keep coming back to read from my mostly jumbled thoughts, you keep me going on the days I feel like stopping. Thank you for sticking with me for this past year, I pray this is only the beginning of our journey together!!! 

Of course I am grateful to God! For everyone He's given me in this journey, for the ability to even coordinate thoughts and especially for the last minute messages He gives me concerning the blog, He actually never tires to hear me ask "what do I do?" I'm really grateful to Him for that!!

Today's celebration isn't just for me, it's for you too. Congratulations for being with me on this journey! I cannot emphasize enough just how grateful I am, but thank you so much!
