TRAFFIC AND THEN SOME
Hey there!
How does thou fare this fine day? It is mine heart's desire that thou farest well.
Let us now approach the discourse of today.
I want to talk about my recent crazy experiences with transportation. And I'm not even talking about the crazy hike in prices oo, that's already stale news.
So I live in a part of Makurdi where getting transport gets difficult once evening comes. Yesterday I saw a bus that was going towards my side and I was glad because I was just about to begin to look for bus. In my mind I said "that was easy" ashe I didn't know I had entered the bus of werey. The conductor of the bus decided that it was this one trip he would use to make all the money he was supposed to make yesterday, even when the bus bus had been filled plus one extra, Uncle still dey shout "North Bank" and in my mind I was wondering "na on top away head you want put the people?" As I still dey think that one, the driver began to speed like he was in a car chase. He kept going till one woman began to shout "if to say I want fly, I for gather money enter aeroplane. Na bus be this oo", uncle didn't stop speeding ooo; for my mind I just dey pray make I reach where I go drop, and to the glory of God my people, nothing do me. Thinking about it now, that's how they cause accidents and make people lose their lives needlessly by their reckless driving.
Today, I had to go the rent tribunal. I flagged down a motorcycle and told him where I was going to, he said he knew the place, we negotiated the price and I have boarded, that's how I now discovered that he didn't know the place, he began to tell me that we should look for someone to ask, I was just angry! I alighted from to that motorcycle and got a new one to take me to where I was going to. As I was fuming, I also wondered why the man didn't just tell he didn't know the place. I sha got there safely and left there back safely. All these things I've told you, na just me dey tell you wetin do me, let's now talk about the news that has just shaken the world.
Queen Elizabeth II is dead. It still feels surreal to say it, like she's not really dead but she is. I have been thinking about it since I heard the news and I'm just going to be sharing some of my thoughts on the matter.
Firstly, I thought to myself, "the world as we've known it has ended." Now the Queen ruled for 70 years. This means that for almost the entire world, we've never known anyone else as the Monarch of Britain. Even those who were alive before, I bet they too cannot remember. Now the world will be forced to sit tight and wait for Britain to reform herself to accommodate the new Monarch because so many things will have to change.
The next thing I thought about is the power that the British crown holds. In fact, I dare say no other death would shake the world like the death of the Queen because everything in Britain is hinged on the Monarchy. Sha sha, we'll all wait and see how everything unfolds for them. Let's just know that the ascension of the new King will set a new tempo for how the International space will be played.
Finally, I thought I just how organized the Country is. I dare say Britain is the most organized country in the world. Everything that's happening now is part of the already established plans that had been made in preparation for her death. From the moment she was pronounced dead, till the ascension of the new Monarch, nothing will deviate from the plan, and that is why Britain has the kind of power they do, for every action that Country takes, it is a product of well thought out and we'll laid out plans, and I really do think I should learn and become really organized.
Well that's all I have to say today. May God rest the Queen's soul!
Thank you for sticking with me and my very jumbled thoughts, God bless you.
See you next week!
Love,
Achenyo.
