STORIES FROM BEFORE
Hiiiiii😁😁😁😁.
How you dey? It's been a minute and I'm sorry I've gone MIA, I'm not even going to make excuses because they'll be exactly that –excuses, and I'm really sorry.
So, let's gist small.
I was in Church on Wednesday and I heard something that I thought to share; keeping archives of victories.
So, there are many tough situations that we've been through God has helped us and delivered us from; sometimes it's finances –money that came to your hands at the last minute, academical –answers to questions in the nick of time or getting grades that you know you ordinarily should not have gotten, spiritual –maybe you've had some issues in your walk with God and He helped you through it... literally many aspects of life that you'd have seen God's hand manifest in your life, but too often, when we have new trials, we tend to focus so much on the trial that we almost forget God and His power, and that's where the archives of victories come in.
An archive is a collection of information or records of an event, a person, institution, etcetera. Keeping an archive of victories is simply you keeping record of all that God has done for you. The advantage of this practice is that it will help you remember, when you're faced with new challenges, how God has helped you before and this will help you shift your focus from your problems to God, and to trust Him to save you. So basically you'll be saying "God who has led me through A, B, C, will help me through T, U, V". And I know for a fact that it is difficult when going through problems to begin to think about what you've gone through before, and that's why you keep the archives, so that when the time comes, you pull out these stories and have them strengthen your faith and tide you on. In 1 Samuel 17:33-37, when David was brought to Saul and was asked if he was experienced enough to battle Goliath, he had a very notable answer. He referred to all the times God had previously saved him from lions and bears that tried to take his flock, and he concluded that God who had saved him from those animals would definitely save him from Goliath, he knew this because he had kept an archive of the victories God had given him.
So, I encourage you today to begin to keep an archive of the victories God has given you, you may even want to write it down, or type them on your phone or system and save them to your cloud, updating them as often as possible, so that you never forget that God who has given you the victories before will give you victory now.
Thank you for staying with me and my plenty talk, I'm really so grateful. Till next time!
Love,
Achenyo.
Seeing the date, and knowing that I've been procrastinating an event I should write in my journal for about a week now🤦
