PUSH
So today's three months since I started this blog!!ππΎππΎππΎπ Thank you for sticking it with me these three months! I don't take it for granted. Here's hoping we continue strong. So welcome to today's editionππ.
I saw a post on someone's timeline that highlighted the tail part of Judges 8 verse 4 which had the words "...faint yet pursuing...." Interestingly, I was feeling extremely overwhelmed and very tired at the time I saw it. So, I'm in 500 level (if you no know before, know now), and boy is it stressful! We had just started school and I was swamped and completely drained! I had, and still have, a lot of responsibilities and they were taking their roll on me physically but mostly mentally. I'd even begun thinking of letting go of all of them so that I could just concentrate on my final year and finish in peace.
Then I saw these words.
In that instant, I understood something that God has been using to keep me going. Interestingly, that's probably not the first time I've heard the counsel, but there's something to be said for hearing a counsel at the exact time you need to hear it. What I understood was that the road before me would not always be easy and rosy, there'll be days I'll face strife, be at my wit's end, constantly tired and overwhelmed, probably sad and angry, definitely faint! But it is on those days that I need to keep going. As much as I'd be tempted to quit, to stop and just rest, those are the days when it matters most that I continue!
So, I'm telling you today that when you get to those days when everything keeps going wrong, where you seem to be standing alone for the right thing, where there's literally nothing to keep you going, go to God and from His abundance, draw grace to keep going. You may not have it all together but God does, the odds may not look to be in your favour but God is so keep going, keep pushing.
So you may feel faint, but keep pursuing!
Love,
Achenyo.
Achenyo aka Big baby, I can only say thank you for the encouragement.
ReplyDeleteWe all have those moments where we need a little push in order to keep moving. This is one of those pieces with encouragement embedded therein.
Keep the fire burning dear.
Cheers.
