MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!πŸŽ„πŸŽ„

Hey guys, it's been a minute!
Sorry I've been away for so long but MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
As we approached the Christmas season, I've been doing some thinking on everything that surrounds the birth of Jesus and I just thought to share those thoughts with you today.
You know how we read in the Bible that the Angel came to Mary and told her she'll conceive of the Holy Spirit and bear a child? I've read this portion of the Bible so many times but recently the thought struck me, "how God agreed to leave the perfection that is Heaven to come into this world". Now the Bible has told us in Revelations how completely wonderful Heaven is, so I look at this world that we live in now, and I think that the condition in those days must not have been much better but Jesus decided to come and live in this world, leave His Heavenly form and take a form as weak and frail as mine, and why? To help me and others like me who willingly decided to betray Him find our path back to Him. It may sound cliche but truly, He didn't need to come to this world, He chose to because He knew only He could be the perfect way for us to be reconciled with Himself. Imagine me and you having a fight that I caused and you deciding to pay me money so I'd decide to reconcile, after na me first cause trouble oo!!! That's what Jesus did for us!
So it's not only about Jesus deciding to take our place is why He did it. I imagine Jesus being hungry –He in whom there's abundance! And deciding to depend on food, physical food, for nourishment. Imagine Jesus having to work in Joseph's shop, He who is King and Commander in Heaven, under whom everyone is! And then the part that never ceases to astound me, imagine 5 or 6 or even 20 year old Jesus knowing that at 33 He would be killed, and agreeing to still stay here on Earth and go through it, all because He loves me!
So, Christmas to me is the celebration of Christ's decision to come, His actual coming and His decision to stay on this Earth, He who is the ancient of days agreeing to go through the process of growth; teething, "learning" to walk and talk... all because He loves me!!
So more than the eating and drinking, believe me I ate today oo, I remember that Jesus came and why He came, and it spurs me to live a life worthy of His decision. My Pastor said something in church today, Jesus came to save you from sin so you cannot celebrate Him in the same sin He came to save you from.
Anyways, that's all I have to say for today so Merry Christmas!!!!

Love, Achenyo
